# The Daily Trend Report with giovanni gallucci: September 16, 2026
Good morning. This is Alexis Parker, sitting in with giovanni gallucci and Chloe Dawn, and this is the Daily Trend Report. Morning, Alexis.
## In this episode
**Social Media.** Illinois passed two taxes on the advertising business this year and almost nobody in our line of work has read them. The first charges anybody providing targeted advertising services ten percent of gross receipts on what they make in the state, monthly.
**Clean Label Food and Beverage.** The FTC has been enforcing Made in USA claims this year in a way it really has not before. Back in April it settled with three companies for a combined eight hundred sixty seven thousand dollars.
**Content Creation Tactics.** This last one is mine and I have been chewing on it since about four this morning. Columbia Sportswear gave away its nineties Helvetia fleeces.
## Quick takeaways
- Before you hit publish, write down the name of one real person who'd forward it and the name of who they'd send it to. Can't fill in both blanks, the post isn't finished.
- Pull your last thirty posts and find the three with the most sends relative to reach. Whatever those have in common is your format now, and you already paid for that research.
- Cut one post a week down to the length somebody would actually pass along. Under fifteen seconds, one useful thing, no intro.
- Shoot the address this week. The building, the sign, the street, sixty seconds, and put the town's real name in the first line of the caption.
- Go through your own copy and find every place you wrote locally sourced or American made with no noun after it. Replace each one with a town, a county or a person's name.
- Film the one part of your process you're sure is too boring to post. That's the part nobody outside your building has ever seen.
- Put one deliberate small inconvenience in a post this week. A photo instead of a comment, a code off the package, a specific word they have to type.
- Afterward, count how many of the people who cleared it you can actually name. That number, not the reach number, is what the post was worth.
- If your last campaign ended at a laugh and nothing else, add the one step that turns the laugh into a person you can find again.
