FSU’s Future After Alford’s Exit | Wilmington News
Description
Florida State’s athletic director Michael Alford is out after a disastrous football season following his controversial contract extension for head coach Mike Norvell — who now faces a tough buyout decision. Fans are eyeing Jimbo Fisher as a nostalgic savior, but his age, recent underwhelming record at Texas A&M, and lack of coaching in three years make him a risky gamble. The Seminoles need bold forward-thinking — not a return to the past — and should prioritize hiring a new AD before tackling Norvell’s future.
