Episode Details

A Pender County commissioner has filed a police report after a Facebook user posted a chilling threat to hang him on a local outdoorsmen page — sparking fears of targeted harassment and political intimidation. The page admin says the commenter is unknown and the remark doesn’t represent their community, but the commissioner insists this is part of a coordinated campaign to oust him using racism and bullying. Law enforcement is now investigating, underscoring how online threats can escalate into real-world dangers for public officials.
