NC College Connect Makes College Easier | Wilmington News
Description
Governor Josh Stein rolled up his sleeves at Laney High School to spotlight NC College Connect — a game-changing program that’s turning college admissions into a breeze for North Carolina seniors. With a 2.8 GPA or on track to graduate, students get automatic admission to public colleges or a direct path to their local community college — no essays, no recommendations, no paperwork. It’s about removing the stress and letting students focus on their future. Last year, over 23,000 students took advantage — proving this isn’t just a nice idea, it’s a major step toward making higher education accessible for all.
