Today is actually the first day of the new Steem Hop season and I am not even joking I am so hyped right now, you can see from my gameplay I am currently on the leaderboard already, top 93 with like 127 coins or something, I just started this morning and I already put in serious work. Last season I missed the 1 Steem reward by a little margin and it pained me well well, so this season I told myself I must start strong from day one, no dulling, I woke up early and just opened http://steemhop.org and started hopping my chicken like crazy.
If you watch the clip you will see how crazy the traffic is, the cars just keep coming, purple cars, red cars, then you have the train tracks and the water with the logs, you need to time everything perfectly, one wrong tap and you are dead, I died like three times in that video alone but I still kept going. At one point I was at 15 hops and my hand was shaking because I was trying to collect the coin on the log, then the notification from Mentor Trading Academy popped up and almost distracted me, but I stayed focused, you can see my score was going up from 7 to 12 to 20, then I died and restarted, that's how Steem Hop is, you die you restart instantly, no time to waste.
What I like about starting early on day one is that the leaderboard is still open, everybody is grinding to get top spots, last season I started late and that was my mistake, I was chasing from behind, but now I am already inside top 93 on day one, that gives me confidence that I can actually finish in the reward zone this season if I keep this same energy. The game looks simple, just a white chicken jumping over roads and rivers, but bro you need concentration, the cars don't stop, the logs are moving fast, and sometimes the coin is in a risky place and you have to decide whether to risk it or just hop safe, I risked it a lot today and got 127.
So yeah first day done and I am on the leaderboard already, I am not stopping here, I am going to keep grinding every day, maybe push to top 50 or even top 20 before the season ends, I know its possible if I stay consistent. If you haven't started your own grind for this new season, you better start now because people are already farming points, I am happy with my start and hopefully this season I finally get that 1 Steem that I missed last season, we move.
