HYROX Athlete Wins Despite Controversial Incident | Perth News
Description
A top-ranked HYROX athlete shocked the world by winning a Beijing race despite visibly covered in fecal matter during key events — including the sled push and rowing. She celebrated her win with “a win is a win” and even showed herself hooked up to an IV, but backlash erupted as critics called her selfish for continuing and risking others. Her coach defended her, calling post-race judgment unfair and highlighting the chaos of competition. HYROX’s co-founder later apologized, admitting the organization failed to act immediately and pledged new rules to prevent future incidents.
