Europe doesn't have any major tech companies nor social media platforms which means it can only control them through regulation and fines. But they appear to be ineffective and the platform power appears to be growing rather than waning. Speaking to Joe this morning was the person in charge of that EU regulation. Henna Virkkunen is European Commission Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy.
