Is Na Hong-jin's HOPE the Creature Feature We've Been Waiting For? (Spoiler-Free Review)

Watch Skip Plus has seen Na Hong-jin's HOPE....and it is an INSANE, BREATHLESSLY-PACED CREATURE FEATURE! Joined by returning guest Shawn (launching his own horror/grindhouse podcast later this month - The Rot & Reels podcast with veteran podcaster Mike Cadaver), the three introduce you to maverick Korean director Na Hong-Jin and his incredible films before giving you their spoiler-free thoughts on this sci-fi/action/comedy, THREE years in the making and nearly TEN years since his last film (The Wailing).

HOPE debuted in competition at Cannes and drops audiences into a remote harbor town under siege by something never-before-seen in a nearly three hour genre-blend film that references film noir, Kaiju epics, Independence Day, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and even Mad Max. BUT the internet is awash with divisive CGI talk and an ending that FLAMED many viewers.

Is this the defining sci-fi, rambunctiously wild thriller of the year? Come back for our SPOILER'D episode when we reveal ALL the film's secrets and that ending!
