The New York Latino Film Festival is a major platform for Latino filmmakers and creatives, featuring 120 films, industry conversations, and a digital conference.

Calixto and I talk about the work behind the scenes: fundraising, hearing no, building strong relationships, navigating corporate partnerships, and staying true to the mission.

We also discuss cultural ownership, asking for help, and why Latinos need to keep creating and supporting platforms for our own stories.
