Sometimes life shakes us hard. A diagnosis arrives. A relationship breaks down. Someone dies. Work disappears. Suddenly, the ground beneath us does not feel steady anymore. Psalm 46 does not pretend those moments are easy. Instead, it reminds us that God remains our refuge, our strength and our help right in the middle of trouble. 

In today's 5-minute Christian devotional, we discover that moving forward is not about finding more willpower or pretending everything is fine. It is about remembering who God is when everything else feels uncertain. 

Sometimes faith is simply finding a handhold in a shaking world and gripping God's promises when you have little strength left.
