Frank Reich leaned on a dominant offensive line, fed Breece Hall and Braelon Allen, and watched Geno Smith deliver the kind of steady quarterback performance the Jets desperately needed.
Tiki Barber was impressed by Geno’s accuracy and leadership, while the defense overcame Minkah Fitzpatrick’s early injury and kept Tennessee under control. Rookie Kenyan Siddiq flashed immediately, Omar Cooper showed his potential before suffering a high ankle sprain, and the Jets even controlled the game enough for fans to relax in the second half. After beating Robert Saleh and opening 1-0, Evan isn’t predicting a Super Bowl run, but for the first time in a long time, the Jets unquestionably have a season.
