POSTAGME SHOW: ALERT | Alex Golesh Is NOT Happy After Auburn’s Blowout

Published 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Description

Auburn football walked away with a dominant 43 to 8 victory over Southern Miss, but Alex Golesh made it clear after the game that the final score isn't the standard he's looking for.

Auburn piled up more than 600 yards of total offense and 343 yards on the ground, but Golesh repeatedly described the offensive performance as sloppy. Auburn left points on the field, committed costly penalties and continued searching for the right combination along the offensive line. Against Southern Miss, Auburn could survive those mistakes. With Florida coming to Jordan Hare Stadium, the margin for error is about to get much smaller.

There were still plenty of positives.

Byrum Brown delivered a much better performance and showed exactly why his ability to make plays with both his arm and legs can make this Auburn offense dangerous. Brown finished 18 of 29 for 226 yards with two touchdown passes and no interceptions. He also continued showing chemistry with the receivers who followed him from USF.
