Description
A night after launching the first In the Shed Cowboys Post-Game Show, Mike and Rudy revisit Dallas’ ugly loss to the Giants with slightly cooler heads. The verdict hasn’t changed much. The defense was terrible, Christian Parker’s unit couldn’t adjust, and the guys believe Brian Schottenheimer and his staff got thoroughly outcoached by John Harbaugh and the Giants. Dallas now has to turn around quickly with another division game against Washington coming up.
Then it’s around the football world. Texas is No. 1 in the AP poll after its comeback against Ohio State, the ITB Survivor Pool gets absolutely slaughtered, and the guys fly around a ridiculous weekend of NFL results. Rudy also discovers that watching an entire tennis match is actually pretty damn fun after sitting through Ben Shelton’s U.S. Open final.

- After sleeping on the loss, the guys still believe the biggest reason Dallas lost was simple: the Giants coaching staff kicked the Cowboys coaching staff’s ass.
- Texas takes over the No. 1 spot in the AP poll, and Mike and Rudy have no problem with it after the Longhorns’ comeback against Ohio State.
- The Survivor Pool goes from 26 players to 16 in one afternoon. Rudy is among the casualties after trying to get cute with Tennessee, while Mike survives by the skin of his ass with Detroit.
- The show’s football picks now have an important prize attached: the winner gets the king-size bed during ITB’s overnight stay at the San Antonio Zoo. Rudy enters Monday night leading the standings.
- Rudy’s People I Want to Punch selection turns into one of the angriest segments of the show as the guys react to comments from Texas political candidate Beau French.
- The guys remind everyone that beginning Friday, the Friday edition of In the Building becomes Members Only, with listeners encouraged to submit their own punches and funny content.
- Rudy watches an entire tennis match for the first time in years and comes away with a new appreciation for how difficult the sport is after watching Ben Shelton’s U.S. Open run.
