Episode Details

Tom Tiffany, Wisconsin governor candidate, survived a terrifying emergency landing after his plane lost power over Lake Wausau—crashing into the water with both him and the pilot sustaining injuries. Clinging to the sinking aircraft as it filled with water, they waited for rescue as emergency crews used thermal imaging and GPS signals to locate them. Thanks to the pilot’s quick thinking and skill, they landed upright, avoiding a deadly flip. Though shaken, Tiffany remains undeterred, crediting the pilot and vowing to keep campaigning. The FAA is now investigating the engine failure, but Tiffany says this near-disaster won’t stop his bid for office.
