Big Idea: GOD’S POWER IS UNLIMITED, AND IT IS AT WORK IN US

Ephesians 3 gives us the reveal of a mystery that had been hidden for generations: WE ARE ALL ONE FAMILY IN CHRIST.

Through the Gospel, we are FELLOW HEIRS, members of the SAME BODY and partakers of the SAME PROMISE.

The mystery isn’t a thing. THE MYSTERY IS US.

UNITY, NOT UNIFORMITY.

And God didn’t reveal this mystery just so we could know it. He intends to display His wisdom THROUGH THE CHURCH.

THE CHURCH IS GOD’S PLAN A.

Church was never meant to be a solo sport. We open the Word together. We worship together. We pray together. We serve together. We grow together. God is building a people, and He intends to show the world and even the spiritual realm, His wisdom through His Church.

Paul then prays that we would be STRENGTHENED WITH POWER through the Spirit and that we would grasp the breadth, length, height and depth of Christ’s love

WITH ALL THE SAINTS.

We were never meant to grasp it alone.

And then Paul ends with a celebration: God is able to do FAR MORE ABUNDANTLY than anything we could ask or imagine, according to the power already AT WORK WITHIN US. Not just within me. Within US. His power isn’t somewhere out there waiting for us to find it. It is already at work in His people, His family, His Church.

LESS ME. MORE WE.

The mystery isn’t a puzzle you solve. It’s a people you belong to. And the God who revealed it has unlimited power and He put it right here, IN US.
