In 1996, Jeffrey Wolfe traveled to Moss Point, Mississippi, to collect a drug debt—only to be murdered, while his girlfriend, Charlene Leaser, was held captive inside a metal footlocker. After a terrifying escape, Charlene became the key witness in a case that would lead to a death sentence, years of appeals, and ultimately Gary Simmons Jr.’s execution in 2012. This is the story of the crime, the survivor who escaped, and the victim whose life was cut tragically short.

Music is by Alexander Nakarada.
