Episode Details

Step into the soul of Eastern North Carolina at the Cameron Art Museum’s new exhibit “With A Southern Accent,” where hand-carved duck decoys share the spotlight with masterworks by regional artists like Lee Dudley and Scott Avett. Curator Robbie Smith celebrates these rustic sculptures not just as hunting tools, but as cultural artifacts that mirror the land, its people, and their enduring traditions. From September 2026 to August 2027, this immersive show bridges craft and fine art, inviting visitors to feel the rhythm of the South’s outdoor heritage — one brushstroke, one decoy, at a time.
