Falcons QB Crisis Deepens | Wilmington News
Description
Tua Tagovailoa’s season debut is derailed by an oblique injury, leaving the Atlanta Falcons scrambling with Cooper Rush under center for Week 1. Meanwhile, Michael Penix Jr., cleared from his ACL tear, remains sidelined until he feels 100 percent. Rush, a veteran brought in during camp, steps up with Jack Strand — an undrafted rookie who dazzled in preseason — as his backup. With their top two QBs out, all eyes are on Rush to steer the Falcons through their opening game.
