Our Miss Brooks - "The Model Teacher" (Old Time Radio, 1948)
Published 1 month ago
Description
Our Miss Brooks presents “The Model Teacher,” originally broadcast on November 21, 1948. Commonly cataloged as episode 16, this early CBS comedy stars Eve Arden as Madison High English teacher Connie Brooks, with Jeff Chandler as biology teacher Philip Boynton.
Connie receives an unexpected honor when Snap Magazine selects her as its “Model American Schoolteacher.” The publicity assignment gives her a chance to pose for the magazine—and perhaps catch the attention of the shy Mr. Boynton—in this classroom comedy-romance written and directed by Al Lewis.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
