Episode Details

Oklahoma City Thunder face a pivotal offseason decision: how much is Cason Wallace’s next contract worth, and will an extension get done before he hits restricted free agency? Annual figures ranging from $25 to $33 million spark debate as his elite defense and steady improvement keep his value rising. Can Sam Presti afford to wait, or will Wallace’s camp bet on an expanded role and offensive leap to push his price higher?

Key questions center on Wallace’s ability to boost his three-point percentage and take on a larger on-ball role, all while the Thunder balance luxury tax and roster flexibility under a restrictive CBA. The possibility of waiting until next summer, parallels with recent contract negotiations, and the leverage on both sides are explored. Plus, Thunder fans weigh in on hot takes, from the team’s playoff depth to wild speculation about future roster additions.
