Tragedy Strikes as Siblings Lost in Rollover | Perth News
Description
A devastating car rollover on Nerowie Road near Melbourne claimed the lives of seven-year-old Sarah El Hawli and her eleven-year-old brother Ossama, leaving the school community and wider Australian Islamic Centre in mourning. Seven children were in the eight-seater vehicle when it flipped; the driver, a 34-year-old woman, was unhurt. Survivors, including a toddler, are recovering. Hundreds gathered at Newport Mosque for a solemn farewell, underscoring the tragedy’s deep impact. Detectives are urgently seeking dashcam footage from 4–4:30 PM Tuesday to unravel the crash’s cause, while investigators note this follows a similar incident from May 2024.
