Anger, Rejection, and a Tragic Consequence | Perth News
Description
A shocking crime in Goldie, Victoria, has sent a 63-year-old man, Timothy Loosemore, to prison for 17 years after he murdered Maree Vermont — a beloved, kind woman who rejected his advances. Their encounter began through Airbnb, turned into a brief fling, then ended when she made it clear she wanted nothing more. Fueled by rage and rejection, Loosemore attacked her in her home, then tried to erase evidence by setting the house ablaze. Forensic experts couldn’t determine the exact cause of death due to the extent of the damage. Despite claiming no memory of the attack, the judge called his story a lie — saying he knew exactly what he did and showed no remorse. This chilling case is a sobering warning: unchecked anger can lead to irreversible tragedy.
