SSM Health violated federal labor law, nurses union alleges
Published 6 days ago
Description
Hundreds of nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital voted to unionize in June, fed up with staffing and retention issues at the hospital. Months later, they’re still waiting for management to come to the bargaining table and negotiate a contract.
The nurses argue in a new complaint with the National Labor Relations Board that the long delay, combined with alleged union busting activity at the hospital, is a violation of federal labor law.
