Patrick Clancy: What the Internet Did While Lindsay's Case Was in Court

Published 18 hours ago
Description

Lindsay Clancy's trial lasted six weeks in Plymouth Superior Court. The jury deadlocked eleven to one. Judge Sullivan declared a mistrial September 4. While the jury was still deliberating, the internet had already moved on to its own verdict — and Patrick Clancy was the defendant.

The conspiracy theories accused Patrick of staging the scene and killing his own children. Creators used astrology, birth charts, and livestream footage as evidence. Lindsay admitted through her defense that she killed Cora, Dawson, and Callan. Patrick was the prosecution's first witness.

A man ended a $200,000 engagement on TikTok because his fiancée said he couldn't understand postpartum illness. He called her a monster. Four million people watched.

On September 8, Patrick's attorney Howard Cooper released a statement calling the accusations a defamation campaign. Law enforcement has been notified. Lindsay's own attorney Kevin Reddington praised the conspiracy theorists after the mistrial.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony Brueski for the full conversation — the relationships breaking, the grieving father being accused, and the fear underneath the rage that the country won't name.
