Episode Details

Colorado Avalanche face a shake-up in the Selke Award race—can Nick Suzuki repeat as the NHL’s best defensive forward, or will Aleksander Barkov reclaim dominance after injury? Chris Micieli and Zach Pearson break down last season’s surprising results, Brock Nelson’s two-way impact, and which Avalanche players might make a case for the league’s top defensive honors. Is Suzuki set for back-to-back wins, or will Barkov and other rising stars tighten the race?

Plus, Anaheim Ducks stir controversy after waiving Chris Kreider due to cap constraints—could he make an impact on an Eastern Conference contender? The hosts highlight Kreider’s strengths and potential landing spots, then shift gears with their “say something nice” segment focused on the Boston Bruins’ history, iconic moments from legends like Ray Bourque and Bobby Orr, and the unique bond between Bruins and Avs fans. Don’t miss this lively look at NHL awards, player moves, and storied franchises.
