Episode Details

Psalm 80 is a prayer that God helps Israel when it faces a great threat. It speaks about the people being attacked by enemies and the need for God’s protection. Psalm 83 lists the nations that are planning to destroy Israel and asks God to defeat them. Both psalms ask God to help and to bring justice. They remind us that when the world is full of conflict, we need God’s help. They also teach us that God is powerful enough to protect and defeat enemies. These psalms help us see that God cares about the people’s safety, and that we can pray for peace and protection when danger is near.
