Clemson Tigers LIVE 212 / All In Show 192

THE AUTOPSY & GA SOUTHERN Hosts: Jordan Bowman & Edward “Tiger Paw” Craven (TPC) Clemson Voice of College Football

00:02:46 — Open / Housekeeping

  • Welcome back to Clemson Tigers Live and the All In Show on Clemson VOCFB.
  • Presented by FanDuel.
  • Last postgame show was the channel’s best ever in views and engagement; lots of new viewers who haven’t subscribed.
  • Membership pitch: exclusive live streams, comment priority, badge. Shoutouts: John (OG member), Air Mike, KB, Ape Gambino, Katie, James, CJ, Crescent, Arthur, Isaac, Desperate Men, Carl.

Show agenda: Put a final bow on the LSU “massacre.” Autopsy of “Clemson’s dead body / walking rotting corpse.” What they have to do to look like a functional team again. Preview Georgia Southern.

00:06:14 — Week 1 CFB recap (outside Clemson)

TPC: Long weekend for Tiger fans, but a great five-day stretch of college football besides Saturday night.

  • Louisville–Ole Miss: fantastic.
  • Oregon–Boise State: expected blowout, turned into a great game.
  • Western Michigan robbed in Ann Arbor. “I don’t care what any Michigan fan says.”
  • FSU–SMU: entertaining for the wrong reasons (power-bill jokes during the delay, SMU turning it over four times and still winning). Delay wrecked Jordan’s Monday.

Keep perspective: better to have football than not, even when Clemson gets boat-raced.

00:11:00 — LSU autopsy begins

Jordan: Burn-the-tape game. One good drive all night — against the LSU student section.

Defense

Jordan (rewatch):

  • Pass defense mostly fine. LSU didn’t hit many true shots until garbage time / backup QB. Levitt’s production was schemed easy access, not vertical explosives. Deepest real throw was a coverage-bust crosser.
  • Corners: Elliot Washington multiple PBUs; Ashton Hampton PBU + INT.
  • Biggest secondary gripe: missed tackles.
  • Front: disaster. Couldn’t set the edge. DTs soft. Dominated and pushed around by LSU’s OL. Stretch runs killed them (reminded them of 2024). Second-level guys didn’t fill.
  • Named DTs: Andy Berberese, Marcus Strong (okay at times), Amari Adams. Strong likely done for the year — another hit to an already thin DT room.
  • Rotational guys (DeVar Woods, Champ Thompson) not good.
  • PFF: worst-graded defenders who played a lot of snaps were the DTs.

TPC:

  • LSU: 644 total yards, 38 first downs (school record), 41-point destruction.
  • Two-hour weather delay; LSU still locked in. Not distracted by NFL/portal noise.
  • Clemson INT early → offense three-and-out → 3-0 → LSU 31 unanswered in the first half.
  • Biggest beatdown of the Dabo era. Worse than 2013 FSU, worse than WVU hanging 70. Not hyperbolic.
  • Looked like an FCS team. LSU would have done similar things to an FCS opener.
  • Figured out early: run up the middle, then bounce it when ends/LBs couldn’t set the edge. Levitt 100+ rush yards. Didn’t need to be efficient as a passer.
  • Clemson: one first down in the first half.

00:19:00–00:45:00 — Coaching, culture, Dabo, OL

TPC core thesis:

  • This was not “got beat by a more talented team” (Georgia in recent years). This was a poorly coached, ill-prepared team that didn’t belong on the field.
  • Roster-building model is gone in the NIL/portal era. Cat’s out of the bag whether they like modern CFB or not.
  • OL “absolutely terrible.” Missing assignments, free-releasing LBs, pulling and not getting there. Looked like they didn’t practice. “Where are you at, Matt Luke?” These are largely his guys.
  • Staff said “this is not what we expected.
