No sooner did the US Postal Service finalize its rules for the form and handling of mail-in ballots than unelected, black-robed, tyrannical, inferior, Star Wars-named Federal District Trial Court Judge Indira Talwani issued a preliminary injunction against enforcement of the rule.

This was just another in a series of temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions Talwani has issued in this case, with her earlier attempts to obstruct legitimate American elections halted by the Supreme Court itself on the grounds that she had jumped the gun—she was blocking a rule that hadn’t even yet been finalized.  Indeed, she attempted to hold the Executive Branch in contempt for even daring to finalize the rule at all!  Even today, her latest injunction prohibits the USPS from even training to enforce the final rule, much less actual enforcement.

Talwan’s main argument in issuing her injunction is that Congress gives the power to control elections to the states by default, and to Congress to the extent Congress wished to be involved, but not to the Executive Branch. Thus, she claims, Trump’s actions regarding mail-in ballots are ultra vires, or unlawful on their face.

Trump counters that the USPS rule does nothing to change how states run their elections, nor does it have any impact on whom states qualify or disqualify as voters.  It merely sets standards for ballot envelopes—such as unique bar codes for each-and requires that the states provide the federal government with a list of the names and addresses of the people to whom the ballots are to be sent.

It’s that latter provision, of course, that is resulting in the tremendous push-back from the Democrats, who cannot exceed 20% in an election in which they do not cheat. Revealing to whom they are sending millions of ballots would expose their fraud, and perhaps expose their conduct as actual violations of federal criminal law—and they can’t have THAT! 

So, with Judge Talwani acting as their champion, they are doing all they can to fight Trump’s efforts to ensure the legitimacy of America’s mail-in ballots, and thus the political legitimacy of our very Republic.
