Episode Details

Big 12 faces a defining weekend as top squads like Utah, Oklahoma State, BYU, and UCF prepare for critical non-conference matchups. The conference’s national reputation—and hopes of landing multiple teams in the College Football Playoff—hang in the balance. Can Utah avoid a devastating loss to Arkansas? Will Oklahoma State rebound against Oregon, and do teams like Arizona State and Kansas have the firepower to compete with SEC powerhouses?

Local experts from the Locked On Podcast Network break down key Big 12 storylines, from Houston’s lackluster home crowds to UCF’s shot at the ACC’s Pitt. The conversation spotlights matchups to watch, the implications of early losses, and whether BYU or Arizona will set the tone in their Big 12 opener. With analysis on offensive stars like Cutter Bolden and debates over schedule strength, the discussion asks: Is the Big 12 ready to prove itself on the national stage?
