Did you know (or do you still) know the calories in a medium egg? In a slice of sandwich bread? Or of a small apple? I lived by the calorie for too many years. Should it be the end all-be all? Definitely not. Do calories have any sort of role in determining our intake needs? Maybe. Let's figure out what about the calorie we might find valuable so that we can happily toss out the rest!
