The Hebrew phrase translated “maintains covenant loyalty” can also be translated, “who keeps covenant and maintains lovingkindness.”
If we remember that God’s commandment is that we love God, love ourselves and love our neighbors as ourselves, then what we can expect is this:
If we live in love, we will experience God’s love.
