Episode Details

Brandon Herrera, Republican candidate for Texas’s 23rd district, is facing mounting backlash after a string of offensive online comments—mocking feminists, comparing women to orcas, and disparaging the unhoused—on his wildly popular “AK Guy” YouTube channel. Though he dismisses them as jokes, the timing is disastrous: Democrats are aggressively targeting this swing district, and his controversial past—including a neo-Nazi controversy last year—has resurfaced. With voters increasingly wary of Trump-era politics, Herrera’s inflammatory social media persona threatens to derail his campaign, turning a tight race into a potential GOP disaster.
