Boxing Coach Killed in Targeted Sydney Ambush | Perth News
Description
A 32-year-old boxing coach, once a rugby league star with the Sydney Roosters, was fatally shot in a brutal ambush outside his gym — just as a dozen kids trained safely inside a nearby community center. The shooter fled in a silver Lexus, later abandoned in Bass Hill, and police suspect this was a targeted attack tied to bikie gang activity, separate from other recent Sydney crime sprees. Authorities believe they know who the victim is — and that his brother, also a former athlete whose career ended due to criminal ties, may hold key clues. As the government pushes for tougher laws against gangland violence, this tragedy underscores the escalating danger in the city’s streets.
