The Bonfire Trick That Stops Burnout Before It Starts
Description
Have you ever felt like you're checking every box and still snapping at the people you love the most?
In this episode, I sit down with Daniela Wolfe, burnout and confidence coach, author and podcast host, to talk about something so many of my working mom listeners quietly carry: the dual burden of running a business or a career while holding the entire household together. Daniela shares her own story of single-motherhood, high-achieving burnout, and the small, unglamorous shifts that helped her β and later her kids β heal. We talk honestly about what it actually looks like to reduce work stress without pretending your responsibilities will just disappear.
Daniela introduces a bonfire analogy that reframes how we think about stress altogether: logs on the fire aren't the problem, it's stacking them with no room for air in between that leads to burnout. From there, she walks us through her Exhausted to Empowered formula, three pillars (mindset, time planning and self-care) that help you protect your energy long before you hit rock bottom. We also get into the "mean girls in our head," the 75% of our self-talk that's negative, and how to gently interrupt it.
One of my favorite parts of this conversation is Daniela's one-minute practice, a ridiculously simple way to build self compassion and calm into your day, five times a day, without needing a spa day or a total life overhaul. It's such an actionable insight for anyone who feels like self-care has to be big to count.
If you're a mom who's tired of mom burnout creeping up on you, or you've ever felt guilty for being intentional about taking space for yourself, this episode is your permission slip. It's proof that small, consistent action beats waiting for a breakdown, and that the way you show up for yourself becomes the blueprint your kids follow too.

What's really stealing your CEO time?Β Every entrepreneur has a dominant productivity pattern β a way of working that feels normal, even productive. But when you're the CEO, that pattern has a cost.
It shows up as full days with no real progress. As never having time to sell, to build, to think. As always being busy but never feeling ahead.
You might recognise yourself in one of four patterns: The Overloaded Operator, The Momentum Chaser, The Preparation Loop, or The Capable Bottleneck.Β
