Trump is doubling down on his “JAW-DROPPING LIE”

Published 1 month, 1 week ago
Description

At 5:20 PM, the White House posted a 34-second video turning Donald Trump into the hero of a fake Zelda game. The caption said, “Hey! Listen!” But the story they borrowed is about an ordinary person standing up to a tyrant consumed by greed and power. They made Trump the hero and seemed to miss the entire point. The video promised a president “working tirelessly,” while his own description of cabinet meetings was “boring as hell.” That contradiction is where tonight’s story begins.

Based on the events of Sep 8, 2026

The Breakdown:

  • The White House’s Zelda-style video casts Trump as the hero and tells us, “Hey! Listen!”
  • Why a story about ordinary courage confronting tyranny makes this choice so revealing
  • The “working tirelessly” message versus Trump’s own complaints about cabinet meetings
  • The White House Arcade and the growing use of familiar games to deliver MAGA messaging
  • The earlier ICE video set to Pokémon music and the White House’s “banger memes” response
  • Forbes’ explanation of the regulatory friction companies may face when challenging the administration
  • Why corporate silence does not establish permission or agreement
  • Ted Lieu’s response to the arcade: “November is coming.”
  • The Tetris Company’s statement distancing itself from “Build the Wall” and taking infringement seriously
  • The game’s removal from the arcade, without assuming whether public or legal pressure caused it
  • Trump’s Steel Across America account of two firefighters lifting him and running with him
  • The lack of evidence supporting that rescue story and the on-air fact-check
  • His later clarification that he was there after the collapse, not on the same day
  • The comparison with Berlusconi and the danger of treating political spectacle as harmless entertainment
  • How propaganda can normalize abuses and exhaust people into looking away
  • What it means for children to grow up with instability as their political normal
  • The midterm task: reach people who oppose this administration but have given up on voting
