Description
Learn English through today’s real news. Natural-pace English at B1, with a full transcript.
In this episode: A UN vote backs fairer world maps, but navigation apps are likely to keep using Mercator versions because they are practical for everyday routing. Also: A study of more than 300 mothers and babies finds that babies born to anaemic mothers had smaller brains, with differences linked to movement, learning, and emotion.
Today’s English focus: does not impose, does not force = does not force. Vocabulary: resolution (official decision or statement), projection (a way of showing the round Earth on a flat map), trade-offs (the good and bad sides of a choice).
