I met Phil almost by fate — and pretty quickly, I knew I wanted him on The Human Mask.

Phil operates in the worlds of AI and business, but his thinking goes far beyond either. He’s also written a paper exploring a theory in physics, and that gives you an idea of where this conversation goes.

We get into artificial intelligence and where it could take us, anarchy as a genuine political philosophy rather than the chaos people often associate it with, simulation theory, physics, society, human behaviour and some much bigger questions about the reality we think we understand.

This became less of an interview and more of an intellectual debate between two people willing to explore ideas without needing to agree on everything.

And we barely scratched the surface.
