Auburn football escaped Baylor with a 17 to 16 victory, and now the biggest question is what happens when this offense finally puts everything together? Byrum Brown showed both sides of what Auburn fans can expect from their new quarterback. There were mistakes, including three interceptions, but there were also throws that showed exactly why Alex Golesh trusts Brown to run this offense. Brown helped Auburn finish the game with a 10 play, 75 yard drive, completing all four of his passes on the possession while adding three carries for 18 yards and the game winning touchdown. The biggest concern coming out of the Baylor game may be Auburn’s offensive line. Alex Golesh pointed to the interior offensive line as an area that needs improvement, and that becomes a major storyline heading into the Southern Miss matchup. Auburn needs to create opportunities for Jeremiah Cobb while getting playmakers like Chas Nimrod involved in space.
