Episode Details

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Sean Burke was terrible against Pittsburgh despite getting an extra day's rest. His endurance problem is noticeable and would be acceptable if this was another rebuilding year. However, with the team contending for a division title, Burke, and the rest of the White Sox, no longer have the luxury of falling back on this being the first time they are going through a playoff race or a full big-league season. It also means closing out the division race with a title will look pretty.

Host Todd Welter breaks down how Burke is going through the same exhaustion issues that former Sox pitching greats Dylan Cease and Lucas Giolito did in their first years logging over 150 innings. The difference is Cease had an established Giolito and Lance Lynn to cover for his fatigue and Giolito's came in a rebuilding year.

Welter then discusses the club remodeled player acquisition process and then does a Wayback Wednesday segment highlighting how the White Sox can do what the Guardians did in 2022.
