Our Miss Brooks - "Conklin's Carelessness Code" (Old Time Radio, 1949)
Published 1 month, 1 week ago
Description
Our Miss Brooks, “Conklin’s Carelessness Code,” originally broadcast on July 17, 1949 (episode 50). Eve Arden stars as English teacher Connie Brooks, with Gale Gordon as the blustery Principal Osgood Conklin, Richard Crenna as Walter Denton, and Jeff Chandler as Mr. Philip Boynton.
During Madison High’s summer session, Conklin introduces a strict “Carelessness Code” that fines students and faculty for even the smallest infractions. Connie soon finds herself challenging the principal’s costly new policy—and its distinctly personal library project.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
