Episode Details

Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents “The Molly K Matter, Part 2,” originally broadcast on CBS on October 11, 1955. In this second chapter of a five-part serial, Bob Bailey stars as insurance investigator Johnny Dollar. The episode was written by Les Crutchfield and directed by Jack Johnstone.

A local archival recording finds Dollar following a mysterious late-night invitation to San Francisco’s fogbound Pier 29. At the Brawley Shipping Company, his investigation of the freighter Molly K’s sinking leads to troubled questions about the lost ship, its captain, and the financial stakes surrounding its cargo.

Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
