Microsoft’s September release creates its largest patching workload yet, raising the risk that urgent fixes disappear inside the volume. The batch addresses at least 974 security holes across Windows and other Microsoft software. Two Windows privilege-escalation issues are already being exploited, and CISA added both to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on September 8th.
