Sl: Tadej je stal na obali Pirana, medtem ko so se valovi nežno razbijali ob skale.
En: Tadej stood on the shore of Piran, as the waves gently crashed against the rocks.

Sl: Bil je zadnji dan poletja in sonce je še sijalo, a zrak je že nosil vonj jeseni.
En: It was the last day of summer, and the sun was still shining, but the air already carried the scent of autumn.

Sl: Danes je bil poseben dan.
En: Today was a special day.

Sl: Dan, ko se bo izkazalo, kdo bo zmagal na lokalnem lovu na zaklad.
En: The day when it would be revealed who would win the local treasure hunt.

Sl: Tadej je bil odločen zmagati.
En: Tadej was determined to win.

Sl: Grand Prix je bil večerja v najdražji morski restavraciji v mestu.
En: The Grand Prize was a dinner at the most expensive seafood restaurant in town.

Sl: Metka, Tadejeva najboljša prijateljica, je stala ob njem.
En: Metka, Tadej's best friend, stood beside him.

Sl: "Se spomniš, da je pomembno sodelovanje?
En: "Remember that cooperation is important?"

Sl: " ga je opomnila s toplim nasmehom.
En: she reminded him with a warm smile.

Sl: Luka, njun tihi prijatelj, je z mislimi še vedno plaval v svojem svetu, opazujoč galebe, ki so krožili nad njimi.
En: Luka, their quiet friend, was still lost in his own thoughts, watching the seagulls circling above them.

Sl: Vsi trije so sledili zemljevidu, ki jih je vodil čez živahno obalno promenado, mimo turistov, mavričnih senčnikov in jadrnic, ki so plavale na obzorju.
En: The three of them followed the map that led them across the lively coastal promenade, past tourists, colorful umbrellas, and sailboats floating on the horizon.

En: They were just a step away from the next clue.

Sl: Toda takrat se je zgodilo nepričakovano.
En: But then, something unexpected happened.

Sl: Galeb je priletel z neba in zgrabil ključni dokaz iz Tadejevih rok ter odletel proti morju.
En: A seagull swooped down from the sky and snatched the key piece of evidence from Tadej's hands, flying toward the sea.

Sl: "Ne morem verjeti!
En: "I can't believe it!"

Sl: " je Tadej zakričal.
En: Tadej shouted.

Sl: Bil je zmeden in začel teči po promenadi.
En: He was confused and started running along the promenade.

Sl: "Moramo ga dobiti nazaj!
En: "We have to get it back!"

Sl: "Metka in Luka sta oklevala, a jima ni preostalo drugega, kot da sledita Tadeju.
En: Metka and Luka hesitated but had no choice but to follow Tadej.

Sl: Lovili so galeba po celotni obali, ob skoraj komičnih prizorih, kjer so mimoidoči ploskali in se smejali.
En: They chased the seagull along the entire coast, in nearly comical scenes where passersby clapped and laughed.

Sl: Na koncu so dosegli rob pomola, kjer je galeb pristal.
En: In the end, they reached the edge of the pier where the seagull landed.

Sl: Zbral se je množica gledalcev, ki jih je opazovala.
En: A crowd of onlookers had gathered to watch them.

Sl: Tadejev adrenalin je bil na vrhuncu, vendar ni vedel, kako nadaljevati, ne da bi pregnal ptico.
En: Tadej's adrenaline was at its peak, but he didn’t know how to proceed without scaring the bird away.
