Story Transcript:

En: It was a brisk autumn morning when Sanne, Bram, and Kees began their walk in the beautiful Hoge Veluwe Nationaal Park.

En: The leaves crunched beneath their feet, and the air was filled with the scent of pine and damp earth.

En: Sanne smiled at her friends, determined to enjoy the day with the magnificent autumn colors.

Nl: De grassen golfden in de wind en de lucht boven was helder en eindeloos blauw.
En: The grasses waved in the wind and the sky above was clear and endlessly blue.

En: Bram led the group with a detailed map in his hands, always ready to point the way.

En: Kees walked joking and laughing beside him, his thoughts drifting as usual.

En: Sanne walked quietly behind them, although her nose was already starting to itch.

Nl: "Geen zorgen," mompelde ze tegen zichzelf.
En: "Don't worry," she mumbled to herself.

En: She had her medication with her, if it would really be necessary.

En: As they walked deeper into the park, she noticed her breathing becoming heavier.

Nl: Het prikkelende gevoel in haar neus veranderde in een traan in haar oog.
En: The tingling feeling in her nose turned into a tear in her eye.

Nl: Sanne veegde snel haar ogen.
En: Sanne quickly wiped her eyes.

En: She didn't want to say anything, not now when it was so beautiful and peaceful around them.

En: But soon she felt her throat tighten.

En: The allergy became more intense and her steps slowed.

En: She didn't want to spoil their fun, so she tried to walk faster.

En: Kees made a joke and turned to Sanne, but his smile faded when he saw her face.

Nl: "Sanne!
En: "Sanne!

Nl: Gaat het wel?"
En: Are you okay?"

Nl: vroeg hij bezorgd.
En: he asked worriedly.

En: "Yes, I'm okay," Sanne tried to say, but her voice sounded strange and choked.

En: Bram looked back, stopped abruptly, and ran to her.

En: With a serious expression, he opened his backpack and took out her medication.
