THE ACOUSTIC CAFÉ is a fortnightly program featuring a mix of singer – songwriter, Celtic, Cajun, global roots, traditional and contemporary folk, blues, country blues, bluegrass, country, old timey and Americana music from Australia and around the world. Live to air, 8pm, every second Tuesday.

In this edition of The Acoustic Café we hear music from Shane Nicholson, The Fallen Robbins, Bela Fleck with David Grisman & Billy Strings, Peter Rowan Band, Alvin Crow & The Pleasant Valley Boys, Desert Child, Jordie Lane, Bill Jones, Robert Johnson, Caleb Klauder, The Gloaming, Patty Griffin, Ralph McTell, Linda Thompson, Kristina Olsen & Peter Grayling

The recorded live part of the program features Dolly Parton. These concert recordings were made at Dollywood  on Dec. 12 and 13, 2002. Dollywood is a theme park partly owned by Dolly Parton Productions, the entertainment company of Dolly Parton. It is located in the Knoxville metropolitan area in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, near the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains.

The entirely acoustic performance not only returns the country/bluegrass diva to her musical roots, but to her hometown ones as well.
