Father slashed protecting family in Melbourne home invasion

A 48-year-old father, Gof Sritanaamorn, was slashed across the face with a knife during a home invasion in Werribee, Melbourne's west, when two teenage boys aged 14 and 15 broke into his home just before 1am. Gof confronted the intruders while protecting his wife Maynie Pechwong and seven-year-old daughter, and was attacked when the teens demanded his car keys. A neighbour intervened with a baseball bat to help police apprehend the boys, who are now in custody, while the traumatised family says they want to move away permanently.
