In 1973, 11-year-old Fay and her 10-year-old friend Bobby were playing near Sandown on the Isle of Wight when they heard a strange sound coming from the countryside. Following it led them to a bizarre encounter with a towering, colorful figure who called himself Sam.

With a strange appearance, cryptic answers, an unusual way of communicating, and a tiny metal hut that seemed much bigger on the inside, Sam was unlike anything the children had ever encountered.

So what did Fay and Bobby actually meet that day? An extraterrestrial? An interdimensional being? A modern-day faerie? Or something even stranger?
