Episode Details

Houston Cougars eye a pivotal turnaround after a sloppy win, as Coach Willie Fritz demands cleaner play before facing Southern University and their new head coach, NFL legend Marshall Faulk. Can the Cougs eliminate costly pre-snap penalties and sharpen their run defense against Southern’s go-go offense led by dual-threat quarterback Christian Johnson and standout running back Trey Holley?

Parker Ainsworth breaks down Fritz’s candid comments, the Cougars’ injury news around Drew Terrill, and player eligibility updates for Stephon Johnson and Myles Rowser. Discussion centers on Houston’s must-fix fundamentals, the strategic advantage of facing Southern’s high-motion scheme ahead of showdowns with Big 12 running QBs, and key contributors like Amare Thomas. Will the Cougars use this matchup to fine-tune their game before a season-defining clash with Texas Tech?
