The War Prophecy!

The War Prophecy!

Description

Tonight I was joined by Donald Jeffries, with Patrick dropping in as well, for a wide-ranging conversation that began with Strauss and Howe’s “Fourth Turning” theory and the idea that America moves through recurring eighty-year cycles of optimism, awakening, unraveling and crisis. From there we got into whether the West is being pushed towards a managed conflict, the decline in birth rates, demographic change, immigration, and why so many political promises around war, peace and national sovereignty seem to turn out as pure theatre. We also spent time on Trump, Nixon, the draft, and the bigger question of whether politics is anything more than stage-managed spectacle for the public.

The second half of the show went deep into hidden history, propaganda and revisionist narratives, with Donald sharing thoughts on JFK, RFK and JFK Jr., the role of media in shaping public belief, and the long shadow cast by institutions such as the Anti-Defamation League and Hollywood. We touched on figures including Roger Stone, David Duke, Tucker Carlson, Kim Iversen, Clayton Morris and Gilad Atzmon, along with books that have influenced the discussion, from Hidden History and American Memory Hole to The Fourth Turning and Fire in the Minds of Men. Donald also left us to join Roger Stone live on WABC, which rather neatly underlined just how lively and unpredictable the evening turned out to be.
