Tonight I was joined by Dr Steven Young, a PhD-trained theoretical nuclear physicist turned author, musician and independent researcher. We began with his journey from studying physics at the University of St Andrews and in Guildford, through a spell in IT and contactless payments, to leaving the corporate world behind to work full-time in music under the name Hedflux. From there we got into the turning points that led him to question mainstream scientific narratives, culminating in his 2024 book, A Fool’s Wisdom, where he contrasts modern scientific orthodoxy with older elemental and alchemical ways of understanding the world.

From that point on, the conversation ranged widely across the ideas Steven is best known for discussing: flat earth, virology, atoms and molecules, nuclear weapons, nuclear power, radiation, CERN, weather manipulation, quantum physics, and the role of fear in public messaging. He also spoke about his YouTube channel, Substack, music work as Hedflux, and his upcoming Illuminate & Elevate event in London. As ever on this show, the discussion was lively, provocative and full of audience questions, with Steven setting out his views at length and giving listeners plenty to chew over.
